Stunning is the really the only word that seems fitting for this amazing girl who hail from Puerto Rico! Maria is a 1-2 year old, 40 lb Shepherd mix who is being fostered on Long Island and looking for a FOREVER HOME. Her foster mom says, ' Maria is a true fan of all people big �%A0and small!�%A0Everybody she meets (whether it's family at the house or friends on a walk) is greeted by her with never-ending wagging tail and smiley face. �%A0She's a curious explorer who loves playing in the yard, has lots of energy for playtime or chasing a ball, and is a huge fan of taking walks. We're working on basic commands, and since she's a smart girl, she's picking up very nicely.�%A0She seems to adapt quickly to new surroundings, as long as there's a human nearby - she definitely loves people.�%A0My 11 year old son adores her, and she's very gentle when he gives her treats or pets her.�%A0Due to her perfect medium size and super friendly disposition, I think she would make an excellent family pet in really any home, and she'd be a real treat for dog newbies.'
