About Ellie May

Ellie May is fostered in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County). We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Ellie May is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed, her listed mix being a best guess. She is a sweet, outgoing and sociable girl of about 40 lbs. Her personality wins over every person who meets her! This is a dog who needs a job. She would be an excellent hiking, jogging or canine biathlon partner. She jumps off the dock at dock diving and has a ton of potential there. She is also excelling at scent work and can do buried, room search, container or vehicle scent detection work. Agility is also well within her grasp. Ellie May is very compatible with other dogs, submissive but playful. She does best matched with another medium-large energetic dog. She runs like the wind when playing and will share toys. She has no resource guarding tendencies whatsoever. She would also be fine with older/considerate kids due to her energy level. Ellie May has great recall, and is working on leash manners and basic commands. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm-free. Please do not overlook this girl if you are looking for an active companion or performance dog. We cannot say enough good things about her!
