We rescued Duchess back in late October and Duchess's dream came true when she was adopted by a sweet woman with a heart of gold. Duchess had been crated all her life in a crate too small for her size so her back legs were deformed as a result. She was used for breeding for her 11 years of life and when she was no longer useful as a money making machine she was dropped off at the local kill shelter. We were called to help and we did. We thought we had a fairy tale ending for Duchess but sadly it was not to be. Her mama that loved her dearly passed away suddenly and now Duchess is back in rescue. Our hearts are broken for this sweet angel. She is house trained and loves to go on short walks despite her disability. She is also vision and hearing impaired BUT the love she has in her little heart for people and pups outshines any disability she may have. She enjoys cuddling with her human as well as her fur siblings...she deserves so much more in her golden years...she deserves a forever home that will love her and show her she is special.
