Sky Female 13.60 lbs Australian collie mix? Look at this beautiful face, she has the most loveliest softest personality to go with it so it's heartbreaking to think that she ended up in a kill shelter in Jeju in Korea & about to lose her life. The rescue we work with said they suspect that she was dropped off there while her family vacationed as the area is known for holidaying & it's quite common for people to drop off their dogs & never come back for them. We were asked could we help her & the amazing Korean rescue went & got sweet Sky out to save her life. Sky was placed in a loving foster home in Korea where she was quite thin & they worked on putting weight on her & discovered her lovely personality & then was brought back to the US, where she is now a US Citizen. Sky is now spayed by laser by our amazing vets, she is chipped, up to date on her shots, dewormed twice, is heart worm negative, is roughly 5 years old & gets along with everyone she has met. She loves the attention & affection of people, enjoys the company of other dogs, & knows how to shake paws. Sky is currently in her loving foster home where they are putting more weight on her & she is with a fellow rescue through ASTR who is opening his heart & home to Sky as are her foster family. Sky would do best with another dog present in the home with someone home during the day & not left alone. Sky walks great on a leash, enjoys going for walks, she listens to you when you speak with her. As with all of our rescues & Sky they need work on potty training & training so this is something that each family would be willing to work on. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Sky & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Sky that meet all the requirements for this little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Sky has an adoption fee of $770 & is ready for her forever family. Like most dogs in our rescue, Sky will need work on potty training. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. When submitting an application, Please be 100% certain that you are committed to completing the adoption process. This includes having all household members in agreement of the dog adoption and being prepared to complete the adoption once approved. We are committed to placing each dog in the very best home possible. As an all volunteer rescue we spend several hours vetting and approving each applicant and every minute spent working on applicants that are not prepared to complete the adoption takes us away from saving another dogs life.
