About HERCULES

Please welcome a very special soul to THR... HERCULES! He is a beautiful 6 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated, and chipped Siberian Husky mix. Herc's story is a little sad but like a true hero, he came out on top. Hercules was part of an animal cruelty case, had to sit in county for 60 days and after his previous owner was found guilty, he became available for rescue. We cannot tell you how wonderful and sweet this big guy is! He's one of the happiest and most playful spirits we've had here. Hercules loves to play with the other dogs, absolutely enjoys running in the backyard and does great so far in public settings. He's made a few trips to Tahoe Mountain Brewing's Taproom and has been very well behaved. He does well on leash and rides like a god in the car. Due to his circumstances with his living conditions and his time at the shelter, Herc's coat is a work in progress. We are very thankful for Barbara at Jenny's Dog Grooming, Midtown Pet Spa & Boutique LLC for starting the very long and tedious process of helping get all the knots, matting and dreads out. We still have a long way to go but he takes it like a champ and that beautiful coat of his will shine when said and done. We'd love for Hercules to have the life he truly deserves and that means a very loving family with a house and a backyard, kids are okay, and other dogs upon a meet & greet. Cats are unknown and at the full discretion of the adopter. Fencing should be minimum 6' as we've seen this big guy clear a 4' gate with ease. Working from home, being retired or taking him to work with you would be a plus. Hercules can't wait to meet you and start new adventures fit for a Roman god!!
