About Bear

Bear is 7 years old (born 3/19/2011) and has been part of our family for 5 years. He is very protective of his family, but welcomes those that we welcome to our home. His one 'issue' is that he will take off from our property whenever the gate is left open and he will not respond to calls to return, though he returns on his own after he's had a good run. This has gotten him in trouble with the neighbors as he does not tolerate other males and can be overwhelming in appearance (103 pounds) to anyone who does not know him. He can become anxious around little kids if they are too close to his face or try to jump on him. We would like to find a home for him before he gets in trouble again.
