About Jack

Sweet Jack is a 7-8 year old male that is fully vetted. I saw his picture in my local shelter and he was injured and they were looking for a foster for him. His sweet picture looked like he was looking at me through my phone. He had head wounds and also one horrible wound on his neck that was pen and draining. I immediately went and picked him up and brought him home to heal. They thought he may have been attached by another animal or dog, but after bringing him home and realized he does not like to be confined or in a kennel, we are thinking his injuries are from him possibly escaping from where he was confined. After getting him home, I realized if I take him back to the shelter he is never going to get adopted, and would probably be euthanized. He has everything going against him. He is a senior, he is black, he has hair missing from his hind end and has a naked tail. They thought it was from fleas, but I never saw one flea on him. I honestly think it is from just pure stress. He is missing hair on his nose, they think from rubbing his nose against a crate of some sort for a long time. He has only 4 teeth. He has worn his teeth down from grinding on whatever has confined him for many years. He has large calluses on his elbows from laying on concrete or a hard surface for probably most of his life. He is the most gentle soul I have ever met. He is quiet, doesn't bark, doesn't get too excited over anything (other than food and his favorite person of course). He just wants to lay around rest and receive love. Every once in a while he will come up to you to get loved on. He loves to be outside and loves to roll around on his back in the grass and just take it easy and sunbathe. I am trying to find him a special home where he can be an inside dog and live comfortable and just be loved. If you are interested in Jack, please let me know.
