About Bruce Desi Dog

Meet Bruce! This young 'Desi Dog' (local term for 'street dog') arrived from India on April 11th in search of a home of his own. Bruce is approximately 10 months old and about 30 lbs. His breed is listed as India Pariah dog and he resembles a Whippet/Lab. Bruce is settling on to his foster home nicely and his foster reports that he is a sweet boy who loves attention. He has plenty of young-dog energy, but sleeps quietly through the night and behaves well when left alone in a gated area when they are not home. He was rescued by KAW, a local rescue group in India, when he was found with a severe injury to his hind leg from a car accident. His leg had to be amputated but that has not slowed him down at all! He has fully recovered and adjusted very well to being a tri-pod. KAW staff report Bruce loved to be around people and other dogs at the center and is a playful, happy fella.
