About Lassie Desi Dog

Looking for a couch potato? Lassie is the dog for you! She is a low-energy dog who loves to nap and hang out with her people. And she has come a long way to find a place to nap: Lassie is a 'Desi Dog', a local term for a street dog in India. She was rescued by Kannan Animal Welfare staff In India after suffering a broken leg from being hit by a car. She stayed at KAW until her leg healed, and now she has come to the U.S. in search of a forever home. Lassie is approximately 2-1/2 years old and 44 lbs. Her breed is listed as Indian Pariah Dog and she resembles a Collie mix. She is very sweet and friendly and loves people. She's good with kids and cats.. She needs slow introductions to new dogs but has become best friends with her foster's dog. She does not have accidents in the house. She is excellent on the leash and walks slowly. She would do well with a family that is looking for a cuddly dog that does not need a lot of exercise. She's probably best with a family that won't leave her alone all day. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Apply to adopt her now!
