The almond-shaped eyes may have no (or very little) vision, but ALMOND (A1762348) can feel tenderness and love, and he can certainly smell treats. ALMOND is a 10-year-old Siberian Husky who was found wandering the streets and entered the East Valley shelter as a 'stray.' Imagine a visually impaired pet being in an unfamiliar environment that is loud, where strangers approach and want to put their fingers in the cage, and with dogs that bark at them when they pass by. ALMOND has been at the shelter since March 9, and he is being networked for a calm home with someone who might be familiar with blind dogs. Once he becomes familiar with you (it doesn't take long), he is easy to handle and he loves going for a walk. He also enjoys being groomed, and his tail wags non-stop as you brush his thick coat. He is loving and lovable. Please share so ALMOND is seen and, hopefully, adopted/rescued sooner rather than later. He is at the shelter at 14409 Vanowen St., Van Nuys, CA.
