About Jasmine

We are requiring another dog in the home and a privacy fenced yard. Jasmine is a 1-2 year old, female German Shepherd mix. She is petite and weighs about 60 pounds. She was an unclaimed stray and needs to gain just a little more weight before she is at her ideal size. Jasmine has a very shy, sweet, calm, and quiet personality. She has spent some time playing with a younger, smaller dog at the kennel and they quickly became the best of friends. She is very quiet and we have yet to hear her bark. She does cry when you walk away from her. Once she gets to know you, she likes to be near you. In just over a week, Jasmine's personality has really shown through. She will make someone an excellent companion. Jasmine is a bit timid at first and takes a bit of time to warm up to new people. She would rather hang back and observe guests at first. When around another dog, she has more confidence and is doing great in the foster home. She is house trained and crate trained. She is great with other dogs of all sizes. She is not good with cats. We are requiring a privacy fenced yard because Jasmine can climb chain link a professional.. We think older children who know how to behave appropriately around dogs would be best. We could see her being a little scared of toddlers. We just haven't had any available toddlers around to see what she thinks about them.
