When sweet little Shante was found by animal control, she had a wire tied around her mouth. A good Samaritan saw her in the high kill shelter and decided to adopt her. Sadly, Shante's adopter was just diagnosed with cancer and between surgery and chemo, she does not have the time or energy for Shante. Shante can be a little scared meeting new people, but has warmed up to her new home, and will warm up to yours as well. Shante deserves a loving home with a patient experienced dog person. She does better with women than men, and is fine with other small dogs. Shante works with a trainer several times a week, and has made remarkable progress. Shante is very smart and young, and will easily leave her past behind her. She's only about a year and a half old, loves to run and play, and is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and chipped.
