History- Stray who ran out of time at an already full, rural shelter. She was transferred to us and got adopted to what we thought was a perfect home. However a couple months later they called and said she could hardly stand and their vet said it was hip dysplasia and we needed to pay for her surgery. We told them they could return her which they did. We sent her up to our vet for x-rays and it turns out she was broken- more than likely hit by a car to cause that much damage. Our vet was shocked they left her in that condition as he said the break had been done about 3-4 weeks prior. So he did a femoral head removal and she has been healing. She is doing great and runs and plays with the other dogs, she does favor that leg and I assume always will but she is healthy, happy, and can get around great. She will probably never be a jogging partner but walks and stuff would be fine. Temperament- Very sweet and playful. She loves attention, playing, and toys. Energy Level- Regular level of energy. Since she has had surgery and is pretty much all healed up she enjoys running and playing with the pack however we have noticed that she gets tired quickly.. So even though she loves to play she probably wouldn't be good for jogging or long hikes.. Dogs/Cats- Good with the other dogs and cats. Housetrained- She uses a dog door but is also crate trained This beautiful girl is so sweet and happy. Knows basic commands. She walks well on a leash and loves everyone she meets. She is absolutely beautiful, keeps all 4 feet on the ground, and is just a really nice girl.. She will make a wonderful addition to any family wanting a beautiful girl to love.. Adoption fee $150 includes spay, FHR surgery, age appropriate vaccinations (4 for puppies), deworming, microchip, rabies vacc, collar and tags, training information, and all the support you need.
