About Penny

Hi, I'm Penny. I am a sweet, loving companion and a good watchdog; I'm also smart. However, I have special needs and need a special someone to take care of me. My mom and I have been together for 8 years after I was rescued, but she needs to move to a retirement facility that won't let me come. I am about 10 years old, but am healthy and am up to date on all my immunizations. I weigh about 25 pounds and may be part Australian Cattle Dog and part terrier. I am very reactive to other dogs and sometimes other animals. I am also very reactive to people in front of our house or on our property. Sometimes, when I react, I just have to race around for a little while. However, if my mom says they're nice people and introduces me, I greet them very warmly and remember them for future visits. I'm so smart I even remember their cars or trucks. I'm okay with older children unless they touch my face, and then I may snap at them. I don't like delivery people and trucks, especially the Post Office, UPS, and FedEx; and I'm pretty fierce when they're around. I'm an active girl and like to run in the yard; however, I do need a secure fence. I'm an indoor/outdoor dog and am housebroken. I'm looking for a special someone who can team up with me and give me a loving home. I'll love you and protect you in return.
