About Sofia

Is there really anything better at the end of a long day than being greeted by someone who is so excited to see you that she wiggles all over and actually bounces up and down with joy? Sofia is nine (9) years young and, although she is having a little difficulty with her eyesight, she is a sweet, good-natured girl who loves to be around her people. Her hearing and sense of smell are very acute. She can hear or smell the opening of a bag of dog treats from the other side of the house and will come bouncing to your side. This beautiful girl has excellent house manners and politely lets you know when she needs to go outside. Sofia patiently tolerates regular baths to help keep itchy skin at bay, and she seems to know that her toasted-marshmallow colored fur looks especially gorgeous once she is dried and brushed. She is a wonderful snuggle companion and enjoys nothing better than having her tummy rubbed while watching Animal Planet. Sofia gets along well with older children and other dogs. She is a gentle, easygoing companion who would thrive in a home where she could spend a significant amount of time with a forever family that will give her the security and love she needs to ensure that her senior years are happy and healthy.
