About Josie

Josie is a survivor of living her life in a puppy mill. She appears to be a pure bred JRT and is 4 years old. It's taken her some time to decompress from her past life. Every day she is making more and more progress coming out of her shell and learning how to be a normal dog in a typical home. She is a sweet girl, likes to snuggle and enjoys squeaky toys. We've had Josie in a couple different foster homes to help get her used to a variety of situations. She was previously in a home with children and she did fine with them. Her current foster home is comprised of two adult humans and another dog. She is somewhat possessive with the other dog when it comes to food, toys or human attention. Keep in mind that she lived her entire life in a cage and had no idea what it is like to share space with others. But she is smart and learning. Josie has been working with a professional trainer and would benefit if her new home continued reinforcing what she has already learned. She is looking forward to becoming a family member in a home where she will be loved and spoiled like she deserves.
