About Mimzy

Adoption Fee: $175
Rat Terrier
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Can't you tell Mimzy knows that she is adorable? This 8-year-old Rat Terrier has even learned to sing for her supper and beg furiously for potato chips, but don't let the highly food-motivated little temptress persuade you to give in. She recently shed some weight to get down to a healthy 20 lbs., and she'll need your help to eat an appropriate diet and get daily exercise. She doesn't need much, but a daily walk or two around the neighborhood would be great. Mimzy can be a little shy with strangers, but she warms up and loves to snuggle once she gets to know you. At first, she was a bit unsure of children, but she has since learned that kids can be a source of affection and yummy treats. She gets excited when her young human friends come to visit and would do fine in a home with respectful children as long as proper introductions are made. She gets along with other dogs, large and small, but has barked at the cats in her foster home, so she'll need appropriate introduction there as well and reinforcement of rules around any dog-savvy feline friends in her new home. Mimzy is crate trained and house-trained, and she knows how to use the dog door in her foster home. She also walks well on a leash, loves to take car rides, and would make a perfect traveling companion. If you have a Rat Terrier whimsy, consider Miss Mimzy and check out her online photo album at http://imageevent.com/newrattitude/mimzy. ------------------------------------------------------ IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING MIMZY, please go to new Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org/adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application.
