Bandit is a fun, sweet, smart and friendly, five-year-old, 45-pound (chubby), male black and white Border Collie looking for a loving guardian. Bandit is great with other dogs and cats in the home. Outside on leash is an entirely different story. He's not much of a city dog because he's very reactive on leash, spinning, barking; he's not fun to walk. But, give him another dog and yard to enjoy and he's absolutely fabulous. Bandit doesn't need a crate; he's perfectly housebroken and non-destructive in the home. He's never been to a dog park or beach, but he's been fine at doggie daycare and playing with my own dog in my yard. Bandit loves training, car rides, herding, playing and running. He knows the commands sit, down, paw, other paw and takes treats nicely. Bandit is looking for a family that lives in a home with a fenced-in yard to run and play in. He would also love someone who likes to work with their dogs with training and is home more often than not. Bandit is extremely healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. He's even had a dental. His adoption fee of $325 benefits the rescued dogs of Friends of Petraits. To meet and possibly adopt him please contact [email protected] for an adoption application. He is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
