About Kazumi

'Dear Potential Adopter, I hope you are going to be my new human, and if you are you need to know this. I want to trust you�'�|but I'm not ready. Can we keep it this way for a while? Feed me and take care of me from afar? I think one day I will be ready. I just don't know when. Until then will you please keep loving me and taking care of me? I'd like to have you stroke me and pat my weary head. But fear always seems to overcome me and I run and hide instead. Could you do that for me..could you love me as I am? I so hope you can. Kazumi' Kazumi means harmonious beauty and she is a unique and beautiful girl. Our hope for Kazumi is to find someone who doesn't need a lap cat and has a lot of compassion and patience for a sweet little soul who can't tell us in words what her life was like before being rescued. It will have to be a special person who can open their heart and home and is absolutely comfortable with having a scared little cat in their home. It has to be someone who feels in their heart they can accept this special girl as she is and not expect any more then she is able and ready to give. Maybe someone who spent years taking care of a feral cat - and then after a very long time, the kitty suddenly came around for a sniff and even some love�'�|could you be that person for Kazumi? Kazumi came into our rescue after her breeder became sick and couldn't take care of her any longer, so she was surrendered to our organization. We don't have any knowledge of her previous environment. We can only assume, with her personality, she has been through a lot and very little of it was good. Her current foster Mom has been working with her consistently every single day. She has noticed that Kazumi doesn't like to be picked up and still seems to be afraid and nervous when it comes to touch. Kazumi will pounce on and play with some string toys but is otherwise a very guarded and quiet little cat. She does stay out in the room with her current foster Mom and does not automatically run to hide every time she enters the room. Kazumi is a very special kitty who needs a special person full of love, compassion and patience to give. She really does not like change and it takes her time to adjust, even to just a room change in her foster home. She has been with other laid back cats, so another kitty could be fine depending on their temperament. Can you accept and love Kazumi as she is? Kazumi was vet checked, spayed and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect. She is located in Elk Grove.
