About Paquita

If you are interested in this dog the first step in our process is to fill out an application of interest from our website at www.animalsrule.org Paquita was surrendered to the Vet after she was attacked by a pit bull that bit half of her muzzle off. Her family could not afford the extensive reconstructive surgery needed, so she was signed over to the Vet who called us to come and pick her up. Our rock star volunteer Emily has spent the last two months nursing this dog back to health. Her transformation is amazing. As you can imagine, Paquita will need a little bit of time to get to know you. It took me 30 minutes for her to become my best friend. Paquita just needs you to move a little slower with her as she gets to know you and transitions into her new home. She is 5 years old and weighs 9 pounds. She is a very sweet little girl. She enjoys being in your lap when your sitting down or watching TV on the couch. She is doing great in her foster home and loves men. She uses the doggie door to do her business outside and is a good eater. She is fine with the other small dogs in her foster home and if you have kids, teenagers or older children with a kind gentle hand would be best for Paquita.
