About Bella

Bella was owner surrendered at an emergency vet hospital after her previous owners took her in stating that she 'accidentally strangled herself.' They could not afford the emergency care she needed so MBR stepped in. The first 10 days were very touch and go but as time went on, she began to heal and gain strength. Today, Bella is a normal, happy lil girl. We were told she is about 2 years old. And now that she has recovered, our vet does not see any signs of long-term damage. We do not know Bella's history but can only guess that her first couple years were not the best. The right side of her butt and tail is missing hair from some sort of trauma and does not appear that it will be growing back in. But regardless, she is simply adorable. Bella is crate trained and house trained. She does not mind being groomed. Since she does not shed, she will require grooming often and if you want to keep the eye staining to a minimum (which is common in her breeds), her eyes should be cleaned daily. She is not a barker. She is okay with other dogs and cats yet has a bit of 'small dog syndrome.' Since she is so small, she has a difficult time doing steps so depending on the set up of her new home, she may need to be carried at times. Bella is very sweet. She is smart, knows some basic commands and wants to please her human. And if you'll let her, she'd be happy to sleep cuddled right next to you in bed. She will be spayed at the end of April and ready for adoption soon after. Bella weighs between 7 and 8 pounds.
