If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Albert is the pup you want to have around! Albert, at just about 18 months old and 16 lbs, is just naturally a lover ....when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. Albert is a truly beautiful Beagle/Dachshund mix with all the traits that make these very smart and personality-plus dogs very popular and beloved breed mixes. Albert enjoys his time with his foster mom so much that he joins her just about everywhere she goes...it's so important to Albert to be a true best friend! He loves his people more than anything and would definitely win a lap-dog award. Albert cuddles close on the couch (or snuggling close on the bed all night is perfect!) with his beautiful head draped over his favorite person's leg...an occasional kiss from Albert is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very sweet guy who derives so much joy from his time spent with his people and his doggy siblings. Albert is a young, healthy guy who will love his family with all his heart. He would enjoy another kind and gentle dog to play with and then would love nothing more than to lie in the sunshine enjoying a beautiful day. Albert will have so much fun exploring and taking long walks along the Colorado trails. He is always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude...just say the word and up Albert jumps for a car ride, a fun hike or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood. Albert's foster mom had the following to brag about this sweet guy: Albert is a stunning Beagle/Doxy mix with a beautiful face and the prettiest and wisest eyes ever. He's 18 months old, weighs 16 lbs and just gets more loving, smarter and more engaging every single day. Albert is an extremely affectionate and loving dog! I would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and kind dog. I'd hate to see Albert left alone all day while his family works full-time. I think he's too sensitive for that. He's such an amazing dog and just the right size and temperament to accompany his people just about anywhere. Farfel's Rescue would like to see Albert in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of positive reinforcement trainers in your area. Albert appears to be a very lightly shedding pup. He will require periodic grooming and great nutrition (salmon oil is a great lifelong supplement) to keep his soft as can be coat like cotton and very healthy. We've requested that Albert be neutered prior to his transport to Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur. If it doesn't...Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Albert's neuter and microchip if our Denver area vet is used. Albert is in a foster home in the Denver area.
