Border Collie

Pics coming soon. 9 year old female tri color border collie named Grace. Black/white/grey with one moon eye. Very pretty and she thinks she is still 2 or 3. Runs and plays like a young dog and loves people and their attention more than anything else. Great personality and will admonish you with a hyena like chorus when you get home if you leave her. No known issues other than she is a little near sighted and if playing with a stuffed animal might make contact with your hand on accident. Tennis balls will mesmerize her. She is from a busy home where there was a divorce and now she resides in a place that is incompatible to her. The other dog is much younger and bullies her. Very svelt 40 pounds and loves to walk on a leash. I had her trained off leash but only under close supervision in open areas. She will run to greet new people and not listen at times so this is not a good idea unless you live in the country and watch she doesn't wander off. She knows, sit, stay, shake, wait, 'in the house', off, and a host of other commands. She picks up new commands quickly as she is so oriented to please people. Great dog with no food aggression etc. Can be a little quirky when meeting new dogs, but a tennis ball takes care of that and draws her attention. She does adapt to other dogs but her deceased sister was very dominant and bullied her, so she greets new dogs with some apprehension but will adapt to most easily. A great dog I just cannot have in my current residence. She would do well with a full busy family, or a single person. A 100% with her owner would be a dream for her. She does like car rides although she gets pawsy sometimes as she is anxious to find out where the new adventure is. Again she is completely healthy and weighs 40 lbs. I will get her shots and such updated before she is adopted. I will interview you as you are interviewing grace. I would prefer a forever home, but a really good foster with references from a local group would be ok also.
