About Mick

Adoption Fee: $325
German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Hey! My name is Mick. Everyone calls me Mighty Mick, because someone shot me and left me to die. But, they must have not realized my spirit. I wasn't finished here. I had to much love left to give, too many faces left to lick, and too many adventures I wanted to have! I knew that somewhere I would find someone who would show me love like the love I kept trying to give. I didn't give up, even though it was really hard sometimes. I was cold, alone, and it hurt so bad. Finally, I was rescued. So many people wanted to help me. It was hard, but their voices and touch made me feel safe. The bullet was lodged in my brain, it hurt. I was dizzy, it was hard to even stand. And nothing looked the same anymore. I could only see through one eye, and even that was blurry. But everyone kept loving me and trying to help. I was at the hospital for a while, but one day, someone took me home with them. I was so scared. I didn't know what to do, but she lead me everywhere and showed me love. I felt safe and soon I wasn't scared anymore. I kept trying, and it wasn't long before I was running around! I felt amazing! Some things have changed, but my spirit never did. I still get wobbly sometimes, and if no one is guiding me I sometimes forget to walk straight and make a few circles. But as the days go by, it gets easier. I can get around on my own now. I can even climb stairs and hop into cars! There is a human pup here, and I think he's great. All I have to do is walk up to him and he pets me. He was very easy to train, just like my foster mom! There are three Rottweilers that live here too. They seem really nice. I bark at them sometimes asking to play, but my foster mom wants me to get a little more steady first. Sometimes she will sneak the girl Rotties in for calm visits and I like that. We spend a lot of time relaxing by the baby gate. I don't mind the boy Rottie, but my foster mom said he is grumpy so we haven't met. I go to work with my foster mom too. She works at a vet clinic. I don't bark at the other dogs and cats, and I just relax and get treats from the staff and belly rubs from the Veterinarians, who say I'm a wonder dog! They all agreed, along with my foster mom, that it's time I find a human of my own that I don't have to share with a bunch of Rottweilers! I'm looking for a human I can love. Male, female, young or old, it doesn't matter. Kids are just fine with me too! I'd be ok not being the only dog, but would prefer a female to spend my days with if I have to share my human. If you have to work, that's ok. I don't mind being at home for a while and I don't destroy anything. I even wait to go outside to use the bathroom. I love walks! And if you stand to my right I can walk straight for miles. I love toys, and love to play! But I don't need a human to play with all the time. Sometimes it's nice to just play with my toys on my own. If you want to be my human, I can promise you this...I am so happy that I found what real love is, and I won't stop giving it as long as I am alive.
