About Leo

If you are looking for a super sweet and loving pup, look no further because Leo is all that. Still very much a puppy, Leo loves squeaky toys and crinkle toys. He is very gentle with toys and likes to carry them around. Leo is a good boy, and great with dogs. He rides nicely in the car. He is a good student and working on his manners. He will come when called, and good on the leash. Leo is house trained and will signal you with a whine that he needs to go out. He is crate trained and will go in his crate on his own when he wants quiet time. Leo has not been kid tested yet, and right now he tolerates cats. Leo is a trooper. He was hit by a car, had surgery, and is still struggling to walk. He has made tremendous progress from where he was before. It's going to take time and patience to get him back up to speed. Luckily, he's young and strong willed. He's wanting to walk and play. He likes to be around his humans and follows them everywhere. While recovering, he takes sleep breaks on his dog bed or in his crate, and he loves to lay in the sunshine. Leo is a calm dog. Once he recovers and feels better we believe he will be even more active and social. He's being picky with his food, and he also guards his food and areas that he thinks are his. We believe this will change once he realizes he is safe and no one will bother or take his food. We will provide updates as there are changes. Leo's story - he was accidentally run over by his owners and then surrendered to a shelter in Texas. He had surgery on both of his broken back legs 3/21/18 and is currently recovering.
