About Buttercup

Adoption Fee: $100
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hello there! My name is Buttercup, and I'm an affectionate, calm, and gentle orange-tabby-with-white DSH female who was born in October 2013. I was rescued from living as an outdoor stray at an apartment complex, and I'm so excited to be an inside-only cat again! I'm very sociable and was obviously someone's pet before I was a stray. My new foster mom loves it when I jump up and 'head butt' her. It's just been so long since I've had an opportunity to interact significantly with a human that I can't help myself but demand petting and attention. So I follow her around and weave between her legs -- just trying to plant my pheromones on her. My foster mom says that I'm like a kitten because I'm so curious and love investigating my new 'digs.' And to say that my appetite is 'hearty' is an understatement. Oh my, do I love the canned food as well as the kibble that is generously served up to me! I feel like a queen, but I eat like a horse! I'm sure that I will lighten up on feasting on food once I realize that I'm an indoor cat now and my hardscrabble days are permanently behind me. As much as I like it here in my foster home, I know it's best for me to have a lifetime home of my own. My foster mom has some health issues, limited resources, and a companion cat of her own. Incidentally, I get along with other cats and friendly dogs, but I haven't been tested around kids. I overheard my foster mom say, 'I've never known a more affectionate cat. Whoever gets Buttercup will certainly have such a loving companion.' Could that be you? Then arrange to meet me today so I can greet you with a friendly 'head butt' of your own. Buttercup is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. She will be microchipped after adoption. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Buttercup, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her. To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors.
