About Bandit

Hey there, the name's Bandit. Don't worry though, the only thing I'll steal is your heart! I'm a 1-year-old Bluetick Coonhound. I am a gentle, submissive boy with a soft heart and a gentle spirit. I adore getting attention, and just soak up all the love I can get! I am a very calm, laid-back boy. I am not used to walking on a leash, and though I do not pull, sometimes I can be a bit stubborn. All I want to do, it seems, is lay in your lap or crawl at your feet! With some training and time I'm sure that I would learn how to walk on a leash better, since I am a people-pleaser and am so eager to do well. I am happiest when someone is petting and loving on me, and would much rather get a belly rub than a walk. Because I'm such a loving, friendly boy, I am not very fond of the shelter. The staff and volunteers are nice and all, but it just doesn't measure up to having my own family. The loud noises and barking dogs scare me, and I just want to burrow down into my bed and disappear. Once I go outside, though, my true colors shine through, and you will find that I'm not one bit shy! On the contrary... I will shamelessly crawl into your lap and cover you with doggy kisses! So, how 'bout it? Can I be your boy?
