About Montana

Jeepers creepers, where'd you get those peepers, Montana? This lady has the saddest, sweetest eyes ever! Montana is a stunning 18 month old cross between a Treeing Walker Coonhound and a Great Pyrenees. That means she's has the long legs and lean body of a coonhound mixed with the big droopy eyes, soft mouth, and large frame of a Great Pyrenees. She's 100% adorable! Montana is a sensitive, gentle lady who loves pets and cuddles. When she's comfortable, she plays like the goofball puppy she is, hopping around on her long legs at full speed! Montana is a delicate flower who lacks some confidence and can become easily frightened by new things or someone being too tough with her. She does great with patient, softspoken handlers who will give her lots of kisses while also showing her how to grow up into a more confident adult. Montana is excellent with other dogs, and we strongly suggest she go to a home with an existing pup. With her sensitive demeanor, Montana will get a lot of comfort and support from the presence of a canine companion. Montana will do well with kids of all ages who will be gentle with her. We're not sure how she'll do with cats, but it may be worth a shot!
