About Benji

Meet Benji everyone! Benji is a 3 year old probably a mini mix Schnauzer, but we are not sure. He walks well on a leash and is well behaved but is excited when going on a walk. He was rescued from Korea from a horrible situation. He loves people even though they weren't very nice to him in Korea. I would recommend he go to a home who has active parents, he'd make a great hiking buddy. He is dog selective and is good with dogs his size or smaller. Big dogs he tends to get bossy with and snaps at them. I think it stems from his living conditions in Korea and having to fight for food. If you have a large senior mellow dog like I do, he is totally fine and doesn't even bother them, it's the young active ones he has a problem with. He loves to run and play and discovered toys for the first time and enjoys laying in our yard playing with his toys. He can be a bit mouthy but we are working on that, I think it's his way of showing his affection for you, so I wouldn't recommend he go to a home a home with small children. He is a quick learner and really just wants to please you. Benji weighs approximately 22bs. He is really a delight and always so happy to see people and loves to sit in your lap and be petted.
