About Milton

You may remember our story about this special little guy named Milton. He was found as a stray in Pace and was in extremely bad shape. He was emaciated, had a terrible skin condition, painfully long nails, very bad teeth, a severe ear infection and was clearly neglected for a very long time. It was heartbreaking to look at him, but we knew that the day we got him was the beginning of the best of his life. He's been taken very well care of by his loving foster families (he's had a couple of them), and has been gaining weight, has lots of medicated baths, had all but 3 teeth pulled and other vetting. Milton is a Chihuahua who is approximately 10 years old and weighs 5 pounds. He is heartworm negative, housebroken, and microchipped. He does well with other dogs and cats. He could live in a home with older children, but does not feel comfortable around small children due to their fast movements and activity level. After all, he's a senior! Milton is a happy guy and wags his tail when he sees his foster mom. He is grateful for the love and kindness that he is surrounded by now. Since he only has a few teeth he needs to eat wet food or food cut into very small pieces. Milton does not like to have his ears or his face touched. If he is hungry or needs to go outside, he will give a bark and let you know. We're looking for the perfect retirement home for our special guy to spend the rest of his life.
