About BB

Adoption Fee: $100
American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Police honorary dog Here's one I just don't get: Why is BB still at Long Beach shelter? 'ۢ He's young, only 3 years old. 'ۢ He's had obedience training and knows basic commands. 'ۢ He's great with other dogs! (He's even MENTORED other dogs at the shelter who have since been adopted!) 'ۢ He has a happy, even-keel temperament that would be just right for any family. 'ۢ He protected a volunteer on a walk during a confrontation with a man in a park. The volunteer turned out to be a law enforcement officer, and now BB is an honorary member of the force!!! (See the badge on his kennel card, below.) Some recent studies have reported that 'black dog syndrome' is a myth. I say it's not, otherwise what's BB's excuse? He's as close to perfect as you'll get. And he's been in the shelter since October. Yup. October. So to recap: BB is lovely with other dogs. He's been a doggie mentor. He's protected a friend from a bad guy. It's BB's turn now. Please share the crap out of this dog-he's EARNED IT!
