About Anna Mae

Adoption Fee: $100
Bombay / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi! My name is Anna Mae, and I'm a ultra-sweet, affectionate, exquisitely beautiful black DSH/ Bombay mix gal who was born in March 2017. I have a sleek, shiny coat that resembles black patent leather and gorgeous copper-penny eyes. My angelic face is adorable and my eyes, mesmerizing, if I do say so myself. I have a slender, lithe body that's surprisingly muscular and heavy. We Bombay mixes have been nicknamed 'Velcro' kitties because we bond so deeply with our humans, and I'm no exception. I get along with the other kitties and little dogs in my foster home. I would probably be good around older kids but not around small children because I spook easily -- probably from my scary past. You see, I was picked up by animal control after I had been mauled by a raccoon, possum, or some wild critter. The shelter called my future foster mom and asked if she was interested in saving my life because they knew how much she loves black cats. Well, thank heavens, she rushed right over, started treating my 8 infected wounds as soon as she got home, and took me to the vet the next day. She says it was nip and tuck there for awhile, and she wasn't sure that I'd pull through. But I'm a survivor, and I've fully recovered now. Consequently, she and I are especially bonded because of all we've been through together. As much as I love my foster mom, I know that what's best for me is to have a family and home of my very own. I have so much love to give, and I shouldn't have to share my foster mom's attention with all the other foster cats here! Yet I'm looking for someone who will treasure me as much as she does. Could that be you? Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have had a black or Bombay mix cat before end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. To find out more about Bombay mixes, watch the attached video that appeared on Animal Planet or google 'Cats 101 Bombay.' Anna Mae is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Anna Mae, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her.
