About Tilly

German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Special Needs: Tilly Is a Sweet Girl in Need of Love 4 - year old, female, mostly blind, German Shepherd Good with other dogs: Males only, selective Good with children: Unknown Good with cats: Unknown Tilly has been through a lot and now she needs a comfy, loving home where she can be the center of her human family. When she was younger, Tilly was attacked with another dog, and due to her extensive injuries, she lost one of her eyes and is mostly blind in the other. However, this sweet and loving girl doesn't let it slow her down. She's currently in a foster home, but doesn't get along with the female dogs in the home. After having been attacked multiple times by other dogs and now being blind, she is understandably cautious around other dogs. This is why we think she would do best in a home as an only dog, or with a calm male who will tolerate her dominance and respect her boundaries. She absolutely loves people and she follows her foster mom around everywhere. She can see shadows, and has no problem navigating the house, yard and walking on a leash. This sweet girl wants nothing more than a comfy bed, some toys to play with and people to love and follow around. She's been through a lot in her short life and we want nothing more than for her to be loved and happy for the rest of her life with a wonderful family. She is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash too! If you'd like to give Tilly her forever home, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full - time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
