Meet Chip; This boy has been through the ringer. Chip was rescued over 18 months ago from a high kill shelter and was on the list to be euthanized. He found a home immediately. After 6 months, The owner lost him and he was found in a ball curled up on the side of the freeway dirty, scared, thin and not well taken care of. He came back into our care, where we found him another home with a furry brother who he just adored. Unfortunately, the family had to move overseas and can't take Chip. He was in a temporary home with 2 other dogs, but he was unsettled and became food aggressive. He is now with us in boarding. He is a super dog, gets along with most dogs but does guard his food. He knows basic commands, is house trained, loves to ride in the car. He is the most lovable dog. Chip has just had some bad luck with finding a solid forever home. Chip will make a great addition to an active home with adults or older children. He needs time to decompress from all of the transitions and loss of his family that he had come to rely on and trust. He is a resilient boy, loving, sweet, affectionate, energetic. He likes to run around, would do great with a yard and can get along with another dog, but we ask for a slow introduction.
