About Maggie

Adoption Fee: $150
Domestic Cat
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Maggie is a beautiful, sweet, and more than a little chubby, 26-pound, 10-year-old, female front-declawed black cat, with a white spot on her chest, looking for a loving guardian. Maggie was adopted in February of 2010 from Chicago Animal Care and Control. She lived with the man she adored for eight years. He left a huge bowl of dry food out at all times. However, when he passed away, she came to live with me. It's taken some adjustment, and she's not too terribly fond of other felines, or canines. She would love to be the one and only queen of her domain once again. With some patience, she may be able to learn to live with another feline. She loves to roll in catnip, and she, surprisingly, can catapult herself into cat trees and onto window ledges. She is looking for someone who will help her slim down a bit and keep her healthy for the rest of her life. She is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and virus-tested negative. Her adoption fee of $150 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits. If you're interested meeting and possibly adopting Maggie, please contact Sheri at Friends of Petraits Rescue at [email protected] She is currently in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
