About Otis

Hi, I'm Otis. I am a 7 year old Australian Shepherd. I'm a little on the smaller side weighing in at 36 pounds. I am about 95% house trained as long as I am kept on a schedule. I am crate trained and will go into the kennel when asked (although I don't like to be in there forever and will let you know if I think it's been too long). I can be trusted out of the crate and left alone with a toy and a bone. I do not chew on things I'm not supposed to! I ride well in the truck and hop right on up as soon as the door is open. I usually end up in the backseat and enjoy letting my foster mom drive me around. I am not highly energetic, but I still get some zoomies and spurts of energy. I also jump pretty high for being on the smaller side. I really just enjoy laying in bed or on the couch with my foster mom. She says I'm super lazy (for an Aussie anyway). I do have a slight fear of men, but we are working on that! They just make me nervous. I get along well with most dogs and usually will just mind my business. I am definitely not a fan of cats. I walk well on a leash and I know some basic commands of sit, stay, shake and down. My foster mom also says I'm so good off leash and I'm super cuddly and loving. I never leave her side and I follow her around everywhere. I feel like I would do best in a home with a single female, or an older couple who are willing to work on my fear issues and help me feel secure. I love treats so that helps when getting over my fears. I'm up to date on shots, flea and heartworm medication and I am neutered. I hope you'll consider me and help me find my furever home!
