Bear is the best and sweetest dog in the world. My husband and I adopted him in 8/2016 from BARC in Houston and at the time he was the oldest, sickest dog in their care and about to be euthanized. When we adopted him we were told he wouldn't live long, and low and behold he is now 20 pounds heavier, no longer has heartworm, and he has enough energy to play and walk and run and be loved. This is the most grateful dog on the planet and all he wants is somewhere to rest his head (preferably in your lap) and someone to pet him and tell him he's a good dog. He IS a good dog. My husband and I are moving out of state for work and due to breed restrictions in the area, will be unable to take our beloved Bear with us. He loves people, is absolutely unphased by kids (including the ones who stick their entire arms in his mouth and pull his ears) and he doesn't try to run and escape on walks when he sees a cat or squirrel. All he wants is love and cuddles.
