About Reaya

Reaya is a blonde lab/Australian Shepherd mix. She is five years old. She is spayed. She is kennel and house trained. She knows the words 'sit', 'lay down', 'back up', 'outside', and 'eat'. She likes to play with a laser pointer, but she doesn't really care much for fetching or playing with any other toy. She mostly just likes to be pet constantly and she loves attention. She loves children. She does not do well with cats, at least from what I have seen, as she tried to chase the stray cats in the neighborhood. She hasn't actually been around a cat in the house or close proximity. She does well in a fenced back yard or on a boundary collar as she loves to roam. She does listen to come when called if she isn't distracted. She is very loyal to her family, but she loves meeting new people as well. She doesn't necessarily like other dogs. If she and Ezzie are not adopted together, I would recommend her going to a one dog household. She does have some resource guarding against other dogs, but not towards people. She was the runt and I think it was hard for her to find food, so she gets nervous if other dogs are around her food. She will not really hurt them, but she will growl and snap at another dog if they are near her food. So, she would probably need an experienced owner who will be mindful of this behavior. She loves to go on walks and she loves to be in the car. She loves to be by her owners, so she won't be comfortable sleeping outside. She is an inside dog and I would want her to go to a home where she can be inside as well. She will be up to date on shots as of Friday, April 20, 2018. She does shed. She is roughly 45 pounds.
