About Marley

Meet Marley - the world's most interesting dog! We are pretty sure if Marley were human (although we aren't entirely convinced he isn't....nor is he, for that matter) he would probably be a professor, wear a smoking jacket, read really thick classic novels, all while sipping brandy out of a snifter and shunning the internet. Marley is an approx 3-4 yr old mix, perhaps with some spaniel, setter and/or border collie mixed in there - a gentleman doesn't really like to discuss such trivial details when there are so many more things to discuss...like Marley's dislike of green peas. And his love of a nice car ride and long talks with friends. He is not a fan of young kids, and as such will not be placed in a home with them. We should also probably mention that Marley came to us as a neglect case from another shelter and needed major surgery on his ear due to untreated ear infections. Now that he is recovered from the surgery he is much better, but is deaf in one ear and may have some hearing loss in the other. None of this keeps this special guy from being a very happy dog, and we hope will not deter potential adopters. Marley is happy to show off his smarts to new friends, and knows commands such as sit, down, and paw....and boy does he love to give paw (over and over and over and.....)
