About Sarge

This handsome little boy is Sarge, a 5 year old Chihuahua who weighs only 4 pounds. Sarge and 8 other Chihuahua's were confiscated by animal control from a hoarder, and were brought to the shelter. We were happy to give all 9 of these babies a freedom ride out of there. Sarge is heartworm negative, microchipped and is housebroken. He does well with other dogs, and has not been tested with cats. Due to his small size, he would not be suitable in a home with small children. We would like to see Sarge go to a home where he would have a doggie sibling since he is used to having many dogs around him. He loves to follow his foster mom around everywhere and is certainly a lap dog that loves affection. He enjoys running and playing with his foster siblings. Sarge was attacked by another dog in his prior home, and has scars as well as missing part of his ear and tail due to the attack. He has a very sweet disposition despite what he has been through in his past life. Sarge is very thin but his foster family is feeding small portions 5-6 times a day and giving him vitamins to help get him to a healthy weight. This loving boy is need of a forever home that will show him what the good life is like. He's got his bags packed and is ready to go. He'll be waiting for you to submit your adoption application.
