About Pennie Clove

Adoption Fee: $75
Hemingway Polydactyl / Bengal
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Pennie Clove is a beautiful brown gray silver short hair female polydactyl (extra toes) approx. 2.5yr. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vet checked and spayed. She is good with nice cats and is used to a quiet environment with no kids or dogs. Sadly many people who live in apartment complexes move and leave their pets behind. They are then found scavenging by the dumpsters and hopefully a nice animal loving person will save them. This is what happened to Pennie and Shelby (also up for adoption) who were found hanging out together begging for food. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! An animal can be loved all its life but the trauma of being tossed out like trash and having to fend for itself is devastating to them and they need time to heal. Pennie and Shelby's rescue/foster mom has been working them giving them the time and patience that they need to trust and love again. After her adjustment period Pennie will be a playful kitten, irresistible and feisty. Pennie is head - shy and doesn't like hands coming straight toward her at her. The rescue/foster mom has gotten her to accept her hand coming down to scratch her head which she now allows her to do. She won't jump up on a lap by herself but she can be scruffed and will sit there happily while you scratch her head which she loves. Loud noises and quick movements still startle her but she loves soft singing sounds and baby talk. Pennie likes to play with balls with bells and interactive toys like feather on a stick. She is quiet, clean and is an easy going companion. Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. A quality hard food along with a can of food a day is a must for cats to help manage their fluids. Dry foods that help maintain UTI health are Hills, Royal Canine and Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment!
