About Zeus

We rescued Zeus from a home where he was kept in a garage kennel on a cement floor last year when he was 2 years old. Overall he has been such a sweet, loving dog and loves being indoors with his people. He had some food aggression when we first got him but we were able to work on that and it is no longer an issue. He has been around female dogs and does fine, seemed to not mind other males when camping last year but not sure how he'd do with one in the house. We have a female mastiff who we've had since she was a puppy and she's started not tolerating Zeus very well. We've needed to kennel him some as a result and when kenneled he has started showing aggressive behavior- barking, growling, and has bitten adults 3 times now. I believe the aggression is directly related to him being in the kennel some now due to trauma from him being left in that kennel so much the first 2 yrs of his life. Although he has not bitten any children we don't feel comfortable having him in the house when we have our grandchildren over frequently as it would only take once of him snapping towards them to cause serious damage. In a loving home where he doesn't need to be kenneled and there isn't small children we feel he would have great potential and make a great companion. He will need to be neutered ASAP, our vet is scheduling out a few months and we'd like to find him a home now where he can thrive. His previous owners told us he was UTD on vaccines but never sent us his records. Due to lack of vaccine records and need for neutering we are asking just $150 for a rehoming fee, he will come with CKC registration papers as well.
