About Bindy

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Bindy is a super smart, cute little pup with a lot of potential. Unfortunately she had some rough times early on and/or was mistreated which has made her timid of people. After a month at her Fuzzy Pawz foster home, Bindy has come a long way. However, she is still leery when her foster mom (or others) approach her and prefers to initiate contact on her own terms. Bindy does love to cuddle and seems to enjoy affection once she calms down and realizes she is safe; really once you have your hand on her she is the biggest cuddle bug. The best thing for Bindy now is to find her forever home so she can start to build long-term trust and know she is a loved member of the family at only about 2 year old she has lots of time to learn to trust. Bindy's forever family should be prepared to be very patient and consistent, especially with training. Bindy is not treat motivated, and she's generally scared of humans. Thus training could be challenging and may require creative techniques and/or professional assistance (Fuzzy Pawz can hook you up with their positive rewards trainer). Bindy does love to play with other pups and has learned a lot from mimicking and following her foster sister. We will require that Bindy's new home have another confident, active and playful pup. She loves to wrestle with the other dogs in the home, and they spend most of their days chasing each other, going in and out and in and out of the dog door, and patrolling the yard for trespassing squirrels. As noted earlier, Bindy is quite smart. When she is scared or nervous, Bindy's instinct is flee, and she's capable of climbing and maneuvering impressive escapes. Bindy's forever home will need a very secure yard, and she'll need to be closely supervised (and on leash) until she settles in. She will need a kid free and cat free home. Despite the cautionary tales, Bindy can be quite sweet, and it's heartwarming to see her start to come out of her shell. She is cute as can be and will be a wonderful companion once she gets past her fear. It's just a matter of finding the right fit!
