About Lady

Meet Lady. Lady came to us at Raintree Jacks after being found wandering around, looking very lost and afraid in a busy apartment complex parking lot. She does have a microchip but her chip had not been updated in years. The registered owners info was no longer valid and no one by that name could be located in over a month's time. Lady was very malnourished and it seems at some point, had been abused. It only takes her a couple of days to adjust to new people and then she is oh so very sweet. Until she is settled she will be nippy if someone tries to pet or pick her up. She so desperately wants attention and after she realizes you are good, she is a love bug. What we did was just ignored her but sat on the ground or floor and let her initiate the attention. Small, short pets were good and left her wanting more, but after a few days of patience and love, she is such a loving little girl. Because of this Lady is best suited in a home with no small children and would thrive in a quiet household. She gets along with other dogs but she must be fed and given treats separately. It is apparent she at some point, had to fight for her food. Lady is about 10 years old but looks and acts half her age. She is so beautiful and dainty at just 11 pounds. She is spayed, current on rabies, DHLPP, and bordetella vaccines. Lady is heartworm negative and on prevention and is microchipped. She loves to snuggle, play ball, and just chill.
