OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hello world! I'm Stassi, and I'm pretty new here - but let me tell you�'�| I'm GLAD to be here. See, I was living on the streets for a while. Can you imagine?? A girl like ME? Well, things happen and there I was. I wasn't even able to get to my stylist! It was all just an awful scary situation. Thank goodness a sweet woman saw me and decided to help me. That brings me to where I am now. Sta ying in this fabulous resort with other dogs and a great caretaker (also known as 'foster mom'). I get to sleep on soft beds ( I even have my own private dog sized room - they call it a crate!), great food and lots of love. Speaking of my foster mom. I really like her. She says I'm 'sweet and friendly.' I like to follow her around and be with her. She took me to a new stylist who gave me a short do because my hair was kind of a mess and dreadlocks aren't my thing, but it will grow out to its previous lovely curls. This girl knew what she was doing and knew that I needed some bows! I am living the life right now, but just like any vacation - after a while, you just want to go HOME. So, I'm in the market for a new loving family and a forever home. Stassi is a 1 year old female Poodle mix and weighs about 13 lbs. She is new to our program and we will update her bio once we get to know her better. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
