Meet Jackie!! Our newest senior available for Adoption in the Southern Paws senior program! She is an 11 year old border collie mix who usually has a beautiful coat, however due to severe mating we had to shave her practically bald. She has had a rough life. She has been bred and abused and severely neglected in her 11 years. She has some bad scarring on her tush due to mats that sat on her for years unattended. She is very friendly and can even be spritely at times. She is little and only weighs about 35 to 40 lbs. She loves to go for walks and adventures and to snuggle. Her favorite past time is watching TV. She is potty trained and crate trained. She loves her foster brother Cherokee but it took her some time to come around to him. She would do great with other calm dogs who are more passive and submissive. She really enjoys meeting new people and dogs and likes children to. Although she likes kids She would do best in a calm home or with older children. She has severe skin disease which means at times her skin hurts and can be uncomfortable. She is on Apiquil and rimadel for now and this is something she may have to continue for the rest her her life. Her bloodwork came back great and health wise she is completely normal and healthy! She had a dental recently and her teeth are good too! She is now looking for a forever home through our senior program.
