OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. It's me again! I just wanted to give you a quick update on how my new life is going. First, let's talk about how awesome my skin and fur look now compared to when I first came to Momma's house! It's growing in more and more every day. So glad to not be itchy anymore, that was rough. I have discovered that I'm pretty unsure of dogs that are bigger than me when I got to stay over for a few nights at a different foster momma's house. Bigger dogs seem to intimidate me so I get pretty scared. Whoever adopts me just needs to know that I will need to take a little more time to adjust to my new casa and bigger dogs as I'm just used to Momma and Daddy's house living with my brother and two dogs that are smaller than me. Just be patient with me and I will come around. I did have a cruddy start to my short life so it will take some time. Momma says I'm eating her out of her house and home and growing like a weed. Playing with toys especially the ones that squeak and wrestling with my brother are still my favorite things to do. We basically do everything together, but we both definitely get attached to our people and are super loyal pups. S nuggling next to Momma is a close contender. I was glued to her the whole night when I got to sleep in the bed with her. It was awesome! I'm definitely the quicker of the two to pick up commands and tricks. I learned how to 'sit' in less than 5 mins and I know when its time to eat or I get a cookie when my people leave for the day I run into my crate! See I told you I was a smart cookiet! I'm eager to learn more tricks and I definitely listen to Momma that's for sure. I'm fully crated trained and it's my safe spot too. If I get tired I'll just go right in there and lay down even when my people are home. I'm potty trained and will even go to the back door when I need to go out! I am still a puppy after all and have had a few accidents, but it was only because my people weren't paying attention when I needed to go out. We have both discovered our voices and the fact that we can howl, so Momma definitely thinks we have some sort of Hound in us. I know Momma will be sad to see me go but also happy that she knows I will find the perfect home for her perfect handsome boy. Could that be you? Stockton is a Male Hound / Shepherd Mix that we estimate to be born around 12/1/2017 and currently weighs 26 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
