About Sumo

My fiancee and I found a stray cat outside our home with a serious eye injury during the snowstorm in 2018; we took him to the vet and got him tested for FIV/FELV (negative), neutered, vaccinated and of course, addressed the eye. He is VERY good with humans and shows no aggression to any human (although he is a bit fearful in the beginning). His one eye has scarring on the cornea but the vet believes he has retained some level of sight in it; the issue lies with his behavior towards other cats. We have several animals and tried to introduce him into the pack but he is cat aggressive and we soon realized that despite our best efforts, he would NOT integrate into our tribe. However, he is lovely with people and I think would be a wonderful only cat for someone; he loves to play (he has a few toys that would go with him), he eats everything put in front of him and although he doesn't love being held, he does adore being petted and even belly rubs. His presence is causing a huge strain on my animals and I need him to find a new home where he isn't locked in a room and can live a beautiful life. He would also adapt back to life as a barn cat, since that is essentially where he started and he loves the outdoors so much.
