She is a healthy spayed female 6 pound-Yorkie- Chihuahua mix. Mela is a low shedding breed mix. She settles in well in a calm, easy laid back, atmosphere and prefers a low key living lifestyle. Mela loves to be on your lap and plenty of belly rubs. Mela would fit a variety scenario's. She prefers calm, easy going, love me, stay at home, retired or work from home types without small children. She loves a calm atmosphere being loved and petted, and being next to you or in your lap. I walk well on a leash and get along with other dogs and I would be perfectly fine solo. I am non confrontational, attach quickly and will love my very own person. Melas story, she was a owner surrender to the shelter from a elderly woman. who could no longer care for Mela. Mela is gentle, sweet spirited and ready for her forever home. She is well behaved,and loves to cuddle and be close. Mela has a sweet spirit, and whoever adopts her will be very lucky to have her. She likes all dogs and is so easy and charming. We are not sure about cats, as she is not fostered with cats. Her ideal home will be a all adult home that knows the breed mix as grooming is required. She is very loving semi- active home, to take daily walks and explore new adventures.Mela would be a awesome companion, or take to work dog. A older adult home or home with respectful, dog experienced children over age 15 would be ok too. Home owner's requirements - A fully structured 360 degree fenced yard, never to be left outside, unattended. Reba wants to be with you, and where you are at all times. She is a indoor only dog. Condo dwellers are ok too. If away from the home longer than 4 hrs a dog walker is required for a potty break. Mela is a rescue and required to be leashed and harnessed on walks- No off leash ever, if at dog parks per contract. Professional grooming every 6 weeks is required. The fee is needed in order for us to 'save it forward' for the next dog.The fee covers spay/neuter, hernia repairs, microchips, vaccines, deworming, rabies,nail trim,and grooming.
