About Gwen

Adoption Fee: $100
Vizsla / Redbone Coonhound
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Posted Apr 11, 2018. Gwen came to us 5 months ago from Animal Control where she had been picked up as a stray. There has not been much interest in this gentle hound though she did recently have a 2 week adoption from which she was returned. Gwen has keen critical thinking skills and had assessed how to left the gate lock, thus escaping the fenced yard. Staff at our shelter already knew of Gwen's ability to let herself out of her kennel and had shared that information but... Clearly, this is a very intelligent girl who will take well to training which would make for an ideal companion, outreach or service companion. Gwen has a loving personality and enjoys the companionship of people and dogs. Her adoption fee is $100. More photos in Comments below. Application can be submitted at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ or at the shelter. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home appropriate for their needs and that will keep them safe. That process can take from 1 to 3 days. Each is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own family members. Adoption policies and application procedures are at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. All approved adopters must accompany their new family member on the journey home. We do not ship nor transport. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Shelter location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571 Shelter phone: 706-865-4135 Shelter email: [email protected] Sautee is located 3 miles from the Alpine town of Helen in the NE mountains of GA.
